Introducing: What I Built This Week
I want to try something new here.
Every week, I’m building something. Some stuff sees the light of the day, some doesn’t, but generally speaking—they keys are being pressed.
To add a little more human back into our impending AI dystopia, I want to start a weekly journal. In it, I’ll share what I’m working on. Where I’m stuck. What I’m learning. The good, the bad, the ugly.
But why? A few reasons:
- To help you see that building is not linear. There are ups and downs everywhere and that’s part of the process.
- To help remind me what the hell I’ve been doing. Over time, it can be hard to see “how you got there” and having a record would help.
- To hang a lantern on the dock of humanity that says “there’s still a human here.” It’s old school, for sure, but I think it’s a much-needed move based on where things are headed.
In terms of structure, well...your guess is as good as mine. For at least the first few posts, I’m going to wing it. It will read more like stream of consciousness than a formal update. Long-term? Who knows.
That’s the gist of it—welcome to What I Built This Week. In the words of Leon Gersing: “let’s ship some fucking software.”
